南韓高層貿易談判代表、貿易部副部長崔皙泳說，南韓考慮加入跨太平洋夥伴協議（TPP）後的規範與最終目標，和美國與韓國簽訂的自由貿易協定（FTA）相差無幾。

崔皙泳指出，TPP涵蓋的市場開放程度，似乎大致上和目前的美韓FTA差不多。這番言論也凸顯出南韓加入TPP，不會對南韓造成太大的負擔，儘管批評者仍擔心這種區域貿易協定的衝擊。

崔皙泳說，他已告知其他國家的談判代表，首爾當局已「完全準備」達成TPP的所有高水準目標。
