歐洲聯盟今天表示，對台灣執行5人死刑感到遺憾，呼籲台灣依照國際專家去年3月針對台灣首份人權報告做的建議，暫停執行死刑。

歐盟外交事務及安全政策高級代表艾希頓（Catherine Ashton）於30日晚間發布聲明說，她對台灣對5人執行死刑感到遺憾。

艾希頓說，她理解受害者的痛苦，也向受害者家屬表達真切同情。

但她也說，死刑永遠不能合理化，歐盟在任何情況下都反對死刑，並呼籲完全廢除死刑。

艾希頓呼籲台灣當局，依照2013年3月國際專家們針對台灣首度提出的人權報告建議，立刻暫停執行死刑。

法務部於29日晚間槍決戴文慶、杜明雄、杜明郎、劉炎國、鄧國樑等5人。(中央社)
