與中甲球隊日之泉一戰，李建良肩負看管洋將的責任，面對體型有自己兩倍大的球員，他毫無懼色且鬥志高昂。

台體大畢業、目前在國訓隊的李建良，整場與喀麥隆籍的阿瓦爾糾纏，雖然疲於奔命，但他甘之如飴，「既然出來比賽，就要展現最好的一面。」

過去踢國際賽，李建良還沒碰過阿瓦爾這般高大粗壯的球員，他說：「雖然他壯，速度也快，還好他個人技巧沒有很出色，不然會更難守。」

賽前被告知要扛洋將，李建良並沒有想太多，一上場就頻頻與對方硬碰硬，「因為這是在這裡最後一場比賽了，不會怕，就是奮力一搏！」

他笑說：「這就是後衛的本份啊！只是守下來真的好累，我覺得這場我防守得還可以，但進攻上就不行了！」
