總統今（22）日說，擔任法務部長時，曾參加「全美州檢察長協會」年會，餘興節目包括晨跑和游泳，記得有24位參加晨跑，他拿到第八名，參加的還包括檢察官夫人，讓他印象深刻。

馬總統上午在總統府接見「全美州檢察長協會」（NAAG）訪華團時指出，協會成立一百年，成員由選舉產生，參與州務，很多人擔任參眾議員、總統；在社會中，州檢察長擔任重要的角色。

總統說，「全美州檢察長協會」跟我國有密切的互動，每年都邀請我國的檢察長、檢察官參加夏季年會或學者訪問計畫，他個人擔任法務部長時，也應邀參加年會，曾分享破獲全球第二大案海洛因緝毒案。

馬總統表示，協會開會認真討論，包括家暴、毒品、槍支管制等議題，令他印象最深刻的是協會的餘興節目，早上的5千公尺晨跑和游泳比賽，而且參加的還包括檢察官夫人，他記得共有24位參加晨跑，他拿到第八名，參與的檢察官夫人，讓他印象更為深刻。

總統指出，中華民國跟美國有密切的關係，過去五年來，台美陸關係都有所改善。我國是愛好和平的國家，過去一年，用和平的方式解決國際爭端，也獲得重要的成果。

馬總統舉例說，今年四月與日簽漁業協議，解決兩國40年來的漁業糾紛，並且有效擱置主權議題爭議，使得雙方漁民都能在共同養護區捕魚，雙方關係大為進步。

五月時，我國漁民在與菲律賓重疊的經濟海域捕魚，遭菲海巡人員射殺，兩國交涉三個多月，爭取到道歉賠償，現在準備簽署漁業協議的工作，這段時間雙方執法都互相通報，避免使用武力，初步目標都已達成。 (接下一頁)
