麥德姆颱風襲台，新北市警方啟動應變措施，針對有坍方、落石、土石流、山洪爆發及淹水之虞等地區及沿海釣客展開勸離作業。

新北市政府警察局長陳國恩指出，已調派員警配合各區公所或災害權責單位，加強災情的查報、通報與處置，尤其針對可能發生「坍方、落石、土石流、山洪爆發及低窪淹水」的地區進行勸離宣導。

他表示，當權責單位決定疏散撤離時，警方會協助居民前往安全避難處所，必要時，將評估將危險區域內的民眾提前疏散至安全處所，進行「預防性撤離」。

市警局表示，已在新店烏福及烏玉等兩個入山檢查哨展開勸阻民眾入山並勸導下山勤務，民眾皆已接受勸離並下山。

市警局表示，除了因應山區可能產生的災害，沿海區域也加強釣魚、戲水及休憩活動旅客勸離，甚至包括水庫調節性排洪可能影響到的水域，警方也保持高度警戒，提早勸導民眾勿逗留危險區域。(中央社)
