在中油宣布調漲油價後，台塑石化傍晚也表示，將自2日凌晨1時起，調漲汽、柴油價格每公升各0.7元。調整後，台塑92汽油每公升34.6元，95汽油每公升36.2元，98汽油每公升38.4元，環保柴油每公升33.6元。

中油1日中午指出，由於市場預期西方國家將干預敘利亞內戰，加上埃及政局動盪，影響中東原油供應，Dubai與Brent油價雙雙來到今年2月以來高點，WTI油價更創2011年初以來新高。

由於本周調價指標7D3B週均價為每桶112.16美元，較前週108.37美元，大漲3.79美元，新台幣兌美元匯率升值0.052元，國內油價依公式計算漲幅為2.65%，因此，中油將自2日凌晨零時起調漲各式汽、柴油價格每公升0.7元，調整後92無鉛汽油每公升34.7元、95無鉛汽油每公升36.2元、98無鉛汽油每公升38.2元、超級柴油每公升33.6元。

台塑石化也指出，受產油國敘利亞政局衝突升高，市場擔憂影響中東地區原油供給，促使本周國際油價大幅上漲，也因此，在考量近期國際油價走勢及國內市場競爭力等因素後，決定自2日凌晨1時開始，調漲汽油批售價格每公升0.7元，柴油批售價格每公升0.7元。
