日本智慧手機/平板電腦情報部落格rbmen 23日轉述南韓媒體biz.chosen的報導內容指出，三星電子(Samsung Electronics)考慮停止販售新型平板「Samsung ATIV Q(見附圖)」，主因ATIV Q的變形(convertible)設計侵犯了其他廠商率先申請的設計專利。

報導指出，三星電子關係人士表示，因ATIV Q已確定侵犯了其他PC廠的部份設計專利，故三星正考慮全面撤回ATIV Q的販售計畫。據報導，三星電子發言人表示，ATIV Q在北美市場的產品介紹頁面已全數進行刪除，惟除此之外的其他細節不便透露。

ATIV Q為三星電子在6月20日於英國倫敦發表的13.3吋搭載雙作業系統的變形平板電腦產品。ATIV Q螢幕可翻轉或與底座分離，共具四種變形模式。除此之外，ATIV Q最大的特點是同時搭載了微軟Windows 8與谷歌Android 4.2.2兩種作業系統。
