潭美颱風造成南投縣仁愛鄉互助村裏的中原部落，大約有300戶缺水，原來是簡易自來水的水源頭被沖毀。另外在道路方面，各主要道路均出現落石及零星掏空，較為嚴重路段是每遇風雨即會中斷的投89線力行產業道路，還有慈峰產業道路也因坍塌毀損，阻礙通行。雖然氣象局已解除海、陸上颱風警報，但仁愛鄉長張子孝為求慎重，努力與各村村長巡視各部落，預計在下午5點才會解除災害應變中心一級開設及各村進駐的機具開口契約廠商。
