紐約商品期貨交易所（COMEX）8月黃金期貨7月11日收盤上漲32.5美元或2.6%成為每盎司1,279.9美元，美元指數下跌1.55%，9月白銀期貨大漲4.1%成為每盎司19.956美元。紐約商業交易所（NYMEX）10月鉑金期貨大漲3%成為每盎司1,409.9美元，9月鈀金期貨上漲0.6%成為每盎司718.20美元。

全球最大黃金上市交易基金（ETF）--SPDR黃金信託基金（GLD.US）11日黃金持有量持平為939.075公噸。最大的白銀ETF--安碩白銀指數基金（SLV.US），白銀持有量增加90.03公噸成為10,124.98公噸。

麥格理商品研調（Macquarie Commodity Research）貴金屬分析師杜納（Matthew Turner）表示，金價已經過度賣超，並預計年底金價將可望較目前價格上揚。杜納稱，金價近期的波動主要是其從避險與投資的角色，逐漸回歸到較為傳統的金飾需求角色所引發的，這樣的市場結構調整需要一定的時間來重新定義金價。

杜納認為，仍有一些因素可以支撐金價維持在目前價位水平，其中最主要是實物黃金的需求，特別是來自於金飾產業。杜納表示，雖然來自黃金ETF的投資賣壓非常龐大，但包括中國大陸、印度以及土耳其等都正在吸收黃金市場上過剩的供應量，此有助於金價逐漸落底。此外，近幾週以來黃金租借利率的攀高也顯示實物黃金的供應吃緊。杜納指出，2000年時金飾需求約較目前高出60%，並認為金飾需求很有可能重新回到當時的水平。

杜納表示，最大黃金消費國印度政府努力壓抑黃金消費的努力已經取得一定的成果，印度6月份黃金進口量較前月創新高的162公噸大減至31.5公噸，這將令整體黃金市場的需求受到一定程度的衝擊；不過，杜納認為，印度黃金進口的疲弱情況並不會在未來幾個月一直持續下去。

紐約商品期貨交易所（COMEX）2013年9月期銅7月11日收盤上漲2.8%成為每磅3.1775美元，受寬鬆政策的激勵。歐洲央行11日公佈的月報指出，若物價前景穩定，指標利率可進一步下調。聯準會（Fed）主席柏南克（Ben Bernanke）則稱，即使Fed近期有意縮減量化寬鬆的規模，但超低利率政策仍將長期維持不變。
