【綜合報導】氣象主播任立渝指出，蘇力颱風估計下午2時將在宜蘭觸陸，因颱風結構紮實，北台灣宜蘭地區首當其衝，今晚到明天清晨將是影響台灣最大的時候，放颱風假的機率高。

《TVBS》報導，任立渝提醒，蘇力颱風外圍環流逐漸接近台灣，愈晚風浪愈大，籲做好防颱準備，東北角和東部地區已有長浪，提醒民眾避免前往海邊活動。

蘇力颱風在今晨6時在宜蘭的東南東方約520公里海面上，以每小時23公里，持續以西北西方向前進，全台均為陸上警戒範圍內。

【綜合報導】愛爾蘭國會今日稍早以127比31票，通過「保命墮胎」合法，指若母體在危及性命的緊急狀況之下，容許進行墮胎手術。

愛爾蘭是個保守天主教國家，因此國家明令不准墮胎，過去20多年來、換了6任政府，也沒有人敢碰這項法令。直到去年10月一名印度裔牙醫哈拉潘娜娃(Savita Halappanavar)發現自己腹中的胎兒有問題，希望墮胎，卻因法律關係沒有及時墮胎，結果胎死腹中，一周後哈拉潘娜娃死於敗血症。

哈拉潘娜娃的死，引發愛爾蘭民眾對「墮胎」的新定義討論，有一派民眾支持保命墮胎，但有另一派民眾仍認為不應該墮胎，反對者甚至在上周六上街遊行，表達抗議，而今當地國會通過這份《保護孕期生命法案》，讓母體在危急情況下，能夠進行墮胎手術。
