富蘭克林的父親艾里斯·富蘭克林（Ellis Franklin）是倫敦工人學院（Working Men's College）教授電磁學與第一次世界大戰歷史的教師，並且在後來成為該校校長。艾里斯·富蘭克林也曾經協助安置來自納粹德國的逃難者，並且收養兩位孩童。

標題[問片] 有沒有推薦的驚悚小品?

在Google新產品發布的現實面前，事前猜測總顯得單薄無力，Chromecast像一個喧賓奪主的傢伙，讓人都顧不上去睬新版Nexus 7那一堆骨感的參數了，ChromeCast才是真的性感。至於Android 4.3呢，最大的變化就是支援多任務登陸、低耗能藍牙技術，新的OpenGL ES 3.0功能則能讓用戶享受到更佳視覺體驗。下面的時間留給Chromecast吧。

據36氪網報導，Chromecast一個UBS樣式的加密電視棒，類似蘋果的Airplay，運行簡化版的Chrome作業系統，但支援所有的平台（相容iOS哦）和所有的設備，零售價僅35美元，今天會在Amazon和百思買上線出售。它十分簡單易用，支援USB供電，只需連接電視HDMI介面，連上WiFi就算是完成操作了。

Chromecast能夠整合你平板、手機和PC上的所有app，你按下app中內嵌的Chromecast按鈕，它就能將影片傳輸至電視上播放。比如目前的YouTube應用就與Chromecast進行了介面整合，iOS系的Netflix也同樣適用。同時，Chromecast的『群組播放列表』功能允許多人接入。即便你已經連接了電視，你仍然可以隨心所欲地使用手機，哪怕你的手機休眠了影片都可以繼續播放，透過鎖屏界面你就可以對電視進行『暫停或下一篇』操作，用戶還可以透過手機調節電視機的音量大小。很明顯，手機就是你的搖控器。

Chromecast並不侷限於影片，它同樣適用於音樂。Android帶頭人Sundar現場拿Google Music app做了顯示，點擊Play按鈕，然後點擊內嵌的Chromecast圖示，音樂就神奇般地從電視中流淌了出來。當然iOS系的Pandora音樂應用產生了同樣美妙的效果。Chromecast是用戶的福音，同時也是開發者的福音。Mario Queiroz介紹，開發者可以透過Google Cast SDK與其相整合介面，完全無須重建與Chromecast相容的app，只需將Chromecast內嵌即可。開發者SDK預覽版今（25）天會發布。
