中華職棒前興農牛隊總裁楊天發，25日晚間以93歲高齡正式辭世，興農集團發言人余奎儒證實這項消息。

余奎儒表示：「昨日創辦人晚間壽終正寢，家屬並不對外公開，謝謝大家關心。」

由於消息來得突然，所以不少球迷都大吃一驚，目前興農集團不打算舉行對外追思儀式，只傳達感謝社會大眾的關心。
