台東醫師荒　衛生局：「沒醫師肯來」

台東全縣16鄉鎮市人口總數雖逾22萬，然有超過10萬人口集中於台東市區，其他散居在各鄉鎮地區；全縣僅14名婦產科醫師，其中13人集中台東市區，張鶯英說，「平均鄉鎮人口數最多也1萬餘人，不要說是婦產科，內、外、兒科及急診也都難覓駐點醫師。」

衛生局一度計畫以過去「助產士」方式解決偏鄉地區接生問題，然而卻面臨在少子化前提下，孩子個個都是寶，稍有不慎易發生醫療糾紛，「根本連助產士都沒人想做！」加以醫療技術精進、交通日益方便，集中到市區婦產科生子看診已屬常態，鄉鎮地區更不容易有婦產科醫師願意前往開設診所。

「好醫師也要有病人看才會有人說好。」台東縣衛生局副局長張鶯英無奈的說，「沒有醫師肯來才是最大問題！」。（汪智博／台東報導）
