潛逃英國女軍官 傳下月遣返

〔自由時報記者楊芙宜／綜合報導〕英國獨立報十日報導，潛逃英國的軍情局中尉葉玫已被通知，將於下月十五日被遣送回台灣，我外交部昨對此表示，「駐英代表處持續與英方密切聯繫中，適當時間會對外說明」。

根據報導，相關人員原本去年十二月二十三日就試圖讓葉玫從希斯羅搭機回台，但她表示因腎結石相當虛弱，因而被允許暫留。

代表葉玫的移民與難民執行官麥卡維（Mike McGarvey）表示，她尋求政治庇護成功的可能性低，主因其來自一個「友善國家」，若是從北韓來，可能就已獲得庇護。

這篇報導雖題為「台灣情治官員葉玫被英國拒絕政治庇護後，面臨在台長刑期」，但根據日前國防部官員說法，葉玫於二月遣送回台後，將交由一般法院審理，依「陸海空軍刑法第三十九條」處置，刑責在五年以下。
