Sony 的 PlayStation Move 控制器問世已經有三年多了，要靠它來和 Microsoft 的新 Kinect 或是 Nintendo 的 Wii motion 配件比拼？Sony 自己估計都會覺得底氣不足。也正因為此，新產品的開發就被提上了議事日程。日前在 USPTO 的一份專利資料中出現了一款形似 PlayStation Move 的裝置，它被稱為「Flat Joystick Controller」，最大的特點是其手持的位置可能會配有專門的觸控感應區。

按照 Sony 的說法，這款控制器能提供一種「直覺」的操控方式，而且它「適用于多種應用和模擬環境」。這樣做的好處是讓玩家可以更好地控制遊戲中的角色，而且在選擇東西時也不用調整握姿。當然，專利只是專利，未來並不見得一定會變成現實。但考慮到 Sony 曾經想過要做一款全觸控的 DualShock 4 手把，我們見到類似產品的可能性還是不小的。
