新營社區大學志工隊自民國98年迄今的耶誕節前夕，運用平日在社大上課所學的技藝，為後壁菁寮聖十字架天主堂義賣募款，資深志工張蕙如今天對外表示，看到法國籍韋神父對於菁寮天主堂的熱忱，促使大家思考新營社大志工隊能為菁寮天主堂作什麼服務？今年也不例外。

新營社大指出，今年訂於12月14日（周六）下午1點30分在菁寮天主堂舉辦義賣活動，現場有多樣志工隊DIY的產品，如手工皂、蝶古巴特零錢包、手提包、打包帶、精油膏等等，以及社大志工、學員捐贈的二手物品，邀請大家共襄盛舉。
