全國教師工會總聯合會上午指出，台灣通過聯合國人權兩公約已經四年，卻仍存在許多違反世界人權公約的情況，呼籲各界正視工會價值，落實人權社會。

全國教師工會總聯合會理事長劉欽旭表示，工會法修正後，教師、醫師、護理師相繼組成工會，但部分教育官員、教育團體代表沒有正面看待工會價值，反而出現種種指控，甚至在法制面受到許多不當限縮，顯示教師工會的勞動權缺乏完整保障。

台灣國際勞工協會秘書長顧玉玲說，孩子與老師相處的時間，比家長還要久，她身為家長認為，老師如何爭取自身權益，也是孩子的學習內容。有家長把孩子的受教權與老師的工作權對立，讓她非常不解，真的很荒謬。
