35年前槍擊情色雜誌Hustler發行人富林特 (Larry Flint)，使他下半身癱瘓的兇手富蘭克林排定11月20日處死，但富林特在好萊塢專業報紙《好萊塢記者》17日刊出的文章中說，他不要富蘭克林被處死，因為他 (富林特)不相信死刑能嚇阻犯罪，把富蘭克林關在小小的囚室裡就是夠嚴格的懲罰。
