六大工商團體以「平息政治紛擾、恢復台灣經濟動能」為題發表聯合聲明，呼籲召開「國是會議」。總統府發言人李佳霏8日說，政府會傾聽各界的意見，審慎評估、尋求共識。　

工總、商總、工商協進會、中小企業總會、工業協進會、電電公會發表聯合聲明，並提出以下三點呼籲：

第一，政治紛擾及法案審議延宕愈久，人民的痛苦與憤怒將與日俱增，台灣已無內耗的本錢，工商界籲請朝野政黨高層領導人，應該發揮大智慧，摒棄政治對立，打破僵局，以台灣經濟永續發展與民眾福祉為優先，儘早穩定政局，回到拚經濟的軌道，重拾企業與民眾對政府的信心，追求國家永續發展，開創經濟新局。

第二，對於造成國內爭議不休與社會對立的重大議題，如「核四公投案」、「年金改革法案」、「勞保條例修正案」和「財政收支劃分法修正草案」等議題，應該召開「國是會議」，以創造一個理性的對話平台，進而確定台灣未來永續發展的方向。

第三，提振國會效能是當務之急，除了儘快解決政治紛擾，回歸國會正常功能，以重建民主機制之外，更應該強化國會自律，根據《立法院職權行使法》，建立制度化、公開化和透明化的黨團協商制度，建立有效率的立法程序。

對此，李佳霏說，總統府肯定六大工商團體希望政局安定的用心，事實上，馬總統所強調的「政務照推」，也是希望穩定政局，全力來拚經濟。

關於「國是會議」召開與否，李佳霏說，政府會傾聽各界的意見，審慎評估、尋求共識。
