行政院今日表示，原民會主委孫大川因學校借調期滿，歸建教職，原民會主任委員一職由現任原民會副主委林江義接任。

行政院表示，阿美族的林江義自基層公務員出身，工作認真、表現傑出，曾榮獲行政院九十二年模範公務人員獎、考試院九十五年公務人員傑出貢獻獎及國立政治大學社科院傑出院友獎，獲得各方肯定。林江義對於各項原住民政策的推動不遺餘力，積極推動原住民族國際交流，致力於促進族群和諧，完成「邵族」、「噶瑪蘭族」、「太魯閣族」、「撒奇萊雅族」及「賽德克族」復名工作；並辦理全國首次原住民族頭目長老會議，活化原住民族傳統組織功能；同時也規畫推動原住民族母語認證，以挽救原住民族語言危機。
