看完病離家1公里　自撞路樹3老人身亡

大白天，轎車撞上路樹，力道之大，樹根被撞斷半截，轎車車頭嚴重凹陷變形、擋風玻璃碎裂、保險桿掉落，「碰」的撞擊聲吵醒了正在睡午覺的附近居民。

目擊者：「就『碰』一下，煞車，就『碰』一聲。」

73歲劉姓駕駛載著老婆，和高齡96歲的老母親，以及外勞，到苗栗看醫生，看完病回程，距離住家一公里，不慎撞上了路樹，外勞身體多處挫傷，沒有生命危險，其餘3名老人傷重不治。

消防人員：「前座是一對老夫妻，後座是老阿嬤跟外勞。」

轎車怎麼會無緣無故自撞路樹，肇事車上沒有行車紀錄器，附近也沒監視器，警方還得調查。

就在事發當時，剛好有台廂型車經過，車上2夫妻開著車徘徊，打電話報警，一度被鄰居誤會是擦撞車輛，好人卻被冤枉。

目擊者：「我叫我老公停去旁邊要報警，結果後來隔壁鄰居就出來報警，以為我們是跟它擦撞。」

一場不幸的車禍，外勞倖存，70多歲的夫妻，還有90多歲的老阿嬤，3人不幸一起喪命。
