美元兌大部分貨幣出現上漲，因數據顯示上周美國初請失業補助金人數有所減少。另外，美國ISM制造業采購經理人指數和工廠訂單指數的利好結果更加為美元提供支撐。歐元兌美元出現疲軟，因歐洲央行行長馬里奧·德拉吉在議息會議前的記者招待會上說，今日歐央行官員們將在會議上討論是否降息。歐元兌美元下跌0.6%，兌日元下跌0.5%，兌英鎊下挫0.4%。
澳元兌美元下挫0.4%，因昨日公布的七月份澳大利亞貿易帳意外變成逆差。

黃金期貨合約價格下跌1.4%，錄得每盎司1369.5美元，因美國宏觀經濟數據利好，美元兌大部分貨幣走強。
