其次，若權證低價是因為距到期日天數過短，此檔權證Theta負值較大，此時權證時間價值遞減速度較快，即使標的證券股價維持不變，權證價格仍會隨時間消逝而顯著遞減，且愈接近到期日遞減速度越快。

此外，權證價格低，較容易跌落0.01元以下，依照規定，流動量提供者可不提供報價，屆時即便投資人想以低於0.01元的價格停損出場，也無法順利將手中權證賣出，如持有至到期日，且標的證券價格未高於履約價格，則權證價格將歸零。

證交所提醒，購買低價權證雖具有高槓桿投資效益，但可能面臨此類權證對標的證券價格變化敏感度低、時間價值遞減速度快，以及流動性不佳等風險，購買此類權證前，應先審慎評估自身風險承受能力。
